Kwandwe Melton Manor
Melton Manor at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve is a sole-use, contemporary, frontier farmhouse set on 22,000 hectares of world-class safari wilderness. With ample living space and a dedicated vehicle, butler, chef, ranger and tracker, it’s simply perfect for multi-generational family holidays or a group of friends.

Kwandwe Melton Manor

Nestled in the heart of South Africa’s unblemished, malaria-free Eastern Cape Province, lies Melton Manor at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve - a world-class Big Five safari destination. The distinctly South African villa, complete with a team of dedicated and telepathic staff, Melton Manor is the ideal dose of safari for those looking for complete privacy and luxury comforts, combined with exceptional guiding and hospitality. A mere 90 minute drive or a quick 45 minute charter flight from Port Elizabeth allows easy access to this safari haven.

Four cleverly-designed bedrooms with expansive verandas overlook the courtyard and swimming pool. The interactive, farm-style kitchen under the guidance of a personal chef, is hard to resist. Meal times here take on various forms – inside in the dining room, al fresco on the terrace, in the ox wagon boma or at a special location in the bush.

Because guests have the manor all to themselves, complete with a dedicated team of expert rangers and a private vehicle, everything can be planned exactly the way they want it! Game drives, guided walks, fishing, boating and bush picnics form part of the activities and you can also opt for more adventurous tracking or conservation projects and photographic guide tuition. Apart from the prolific wildlife, the reserve is also a sanctuary for bird species and is known for the endangered blue crane, after which the reserve is named. For 'down time' and respite from the African summer heat, board games, reading in the library or lounging at the pool are firm favourites. If guests are up for an outing there are archaeological, battlefield and historical tours nearby in Grahamstown.

Magnificently located, this home-away-from-home villa offers an abundance of thrilling game drives, challenging hikes and gentle birdwatching excursions.
