Zimbabwe's Big Five
One can’t really sum up the magic of Zimbabwe in one sentence, but one thing that really stands out is the quality of the guides, their warmth, friendliness and knowledge – the best ingredient of any safari! The mighty Victoria Falls, the beautiful Hwange National Park, the majestic Lake Kariba and serene Mana Pools in the north combine perfectly with the pristine, unexplored Malilangwe Reserve in the south. A Zimbabwe safari is for travelers looking for a touch of adventure, somewhat off-the-beaten-track.
Yes, it has been plagued by political unrest in the past, and tourism has suffered, but the country has recently turned a corner and today, it’s more than on the up. It’s probably also one of the safest places to travel through, so don’t let its previous reputation put you off, rather use our expertise to plan your next adventure.
Wilderness Exclusivity & Superb Guiding
The remoteness of some of parks and concessions, and the ongoing conservation efforts, means that Zimbabwe has retained its wildlife numbers with a relatively low number of travelers. This, coupled with the expertise and heavily experienced guides across the country, make for an incredible safari. Guiding has always been a sought-after and well respected profession - qualified locals are keen to share their knowledge and passion.
Value For Money
Safaris across Zimbabwe don’t generally exhibit the same high season price hikes of its neighbouring countries. Typically, we’ve found that one can expect a saving of about 25%-40% and still have world-class experiences.
Generally speaking, the incredible wildlife of Zimbabwe that includes zebra, antelope, the ‘Big Five’ and wild dogs can be seen all year, although they are easier to spot during the dry season. As a destination re-emerging, peak travel months are quieter than other popular safari locations in Africa.
The opportunity to experience a walking safari expertly guided should not be missed. Bush walks of all durations are available in Hwange, Lake Kariba, Mana Pools and Malilwangwe. This can’t be stressed enough!
We're very excited to see key tourism partners are investing in Zimbabwe again, and in turn, investing in the country and its people, supporting rural communities and protecting wildlife regions.
